Tokayev meets with Niinistö and Dodon in New York

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a number of meetings with his colleagues on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly debate in New York, Akorda reports.

In particular, he met with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö. The two heads of state discussed economic, transport, technological cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on the international agenda.

The Kazakh President noted that Finland is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in Northern Europe and the European Union. He praised the constructive political dialogue with the country and promised to continue the mutually beneficial ties, AKIpress reported.

After the talks with the Finnish President, Tokayev met with President of Moldova Igor Dodon. They considered bilateral relation in political, trade and economic spheres, as well as confirmed thier readiness for further strengthening of the friendly relations. Dodon invited Tokayev to make an official visit to Moldova next year.
